We’re Adjusting Some Prices

As a result of a thorough review of the business after the first year we have decided to adjust some of our prices. There are two changes coming:

• The discount price (for day passes, 10-visit cards and memberships) that we offer to students, seniors and others is being adjusted to be approximately 85% of the regular price for the corresponding item. This results in increases ranging from about 4-8% on the discount rates.  The regular rates are unaffected by this change.
• The prices for items usually paid for with cash are being rounded to even dollar amounts after HST. In some cases this means a small increase, and in others a small decrease. We’re doing this to try to make things run a little more smoothly at the front desk, by simplifying change-making.

Out of about 85 items that we sell, 21 are going up a little, 13 are going down a little, and the rest remain unchanged.

Most of these pricing changes take effect Monday April 11th. The new discount rate for monthly Electronic Funds Transfer Membership Dues and the Late Fee increase will take effect as of the June 10th billing, since we promised our members at least 60 days notice before changing those fees.
