Climb For Cancer
Last spring Climber’s Rock in Burlington hosted an event called Climb for Cancer, to raise money to fight cancer by climbing and gathering sponsorships. They’re doing it again this year (on May 7th), and this time we’re joining in by hosting a second event the following weekend, on Saturday May 14th. You can find all the details at the Climb for Cancer web site.
The gang at Climber’s Rock has got it in their heads to try to show everyone that they can do a better job than we can of rounding up teams to join in and kick cancer’s butt. So let’s show them that the people who climb at True North also care about this. Start a team and sign up now, and let’s have fun on May 14th doing something really worthwhile.

My 2 kids and I are one of the seven teams registered so far. We’re climbing in honour of my mom (a cancer survivor) and my friend Matt’s wife Kim, who is engaged in her own battle now. You know someone affected by cancer, don’t you? Why not gather a few friends or family to form a team?

We are raffling off a free 1-year membership to True North Climbing to encourage more participation. All who climb in the event are eligible (except for true North Climbing employees and their families), as are all who sponsor a climber. So please either gather a team, or find someone to sponsor (I’m accepting sponsors!).

I lost my mom in August to Lymphoma and HLH so I can certainly relate.
I love to climb and I love and miss my mom- what better way to incorporate both!
I’m really excited for this. Have my team already together!
